Some weeks ago our women's
group decided to renew its name, that is Tabita. At
the beginning of the 20th century our sisters chose
her name because she was a very nice, silent, committed
servant of the Lord. Thinking of her I read the story
from the Bible in Acts 9: 36-42. I would like to share
a short message.

First of all, the cloths she
made brought joy to many of the poor. These were useful. The
result of her simple work - sawing - caused joy.
Hard times came on them. Tabita
became sick. The group of sisters stayed with her, prayed
together and were looking for help. Every Sunday when we are
together in church, we worship and after that we talk with
each other. We talk a lot about our everyday life, we share
our problems, difficulties and our joys. We ask help and give
help. But to do so there are some conditions. Confidence -
sincerity - not taking advantage of other's weaknesses. How
can it be possible? Through the love of Christ. He can open
our hearts toward others. He is the only one who can enrich
the relation among us and of course He can charge us with
deeper responsibility for others.
Tabita gave a wonderful testimony
with her life, her death and resurrection. And sharing her
story the believers gained a lot of new life for Christ.
May the Lord bless all of us
as we serve the people for his glory.
In his service,
