Have you heard the story of the
optimist and the pessimist as they were walking throught
the desert? Their water was coming to an end.
Looking at the bottle,
the pessimist said, "We have only half a bottle
of water". The optimist said, "We still
have half a bottle of water!".

This little story shows me what
it means to be "Seeing with New Eyes!". We have HOPE
as a gift from our Lord as we look to the better part of our
life ahead. Regardless of what happens, we are free to experience
the love of God and see His provision in ALL things. We know
there are many types of personalities, thus many types of circumstances.
The question we must ask ourselves is whether we are optimistic
or pessimistic in each situation. Some may feel sad. Some may
feel disappointed. Some may even feel anger. But, we must never
forget we serve the One who leads us in all situations... our
Heavenly Father.
I would encourage each of you
to see the world with New Eyes! See what the Lord wants for
you to do in your present situation. See how He would like to
use you in His service. See as the Good Samaritan...a neighbor
in need. May you will be the one:
- to dry the tears,
- to teach the people to laugh
again,
- to live in harmony and peace.
He wants you to demonstrate a
Christ-like love to ALL of your neighbors, your children and
your parents. They also need to SEE the love of God. Therefore,
see yourselves as a channel to share His love, bandage their
wounds and care for them unconditionally.
While you serve those in need,
our Lord will also serve you. Proverbs 11:25 says,
"A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others
will himself be refreshed." In other words, bless
and you will be blessed. Rejoice in Him!
See the world around you with
New Eyes.
