First Time

It was my firt time to attend the women's conference. We were from many countries: from Middle East, East Europe and West Europe. I realized that we are all one in Christ, even we are from many places. We speak many different languages, we have different cultures, but Jesus can combine us together to be one in Him and this is great.

The amazing part for me was hearing the testimonies and the experiences about the life and the Christian ministry from many women from East European countries. I have known only about the communism and the Soviet Union in general. And I know only a little bit about the political situation from the press and TV about the countries after the breaking of the communism.

I felt like I am in Heaven especially when we heard and shared many songs (some songs are translated and has the same tone) with many languages. We saw and heard about different cultures and traditions for first time and the ladies were so kind, I am sure it is the fruit of the holy spirit in them.

Some times we think that we are the only Christian people who have challenges cause we live in middle east with many and different religions, but we learned and observed that each area has its challenges. We are living as strangers in the world but we have hope that our Lord Jesus Christ is with us forever buy the Holy Spirit.

Now I have many things to do like praying for the new countries that I know about them and to establish the baptist Egyptian women's union. I covet for your prayer for achievement of this new work.
