Widow's conference in Ukraine

Widow's conference in Ukraine On 6th of November in one of the Kiev Churches has been held a Conference for Widows under the theme: "... and let thy widows trust in me." (Jer 49:11) About 200 widows have come for this conference, mostly from Kiev and Kiev oblast. At the Conference also participated the widows who raise their kids by themselves. The Leadership of the Baptist Union, one brother from Minnesota and pastor of the local church greeted widows. Also, we had aged nun widows from Belarus and Russia. The young widows shared their concerns:

Luba Samophal from Novomoskovsk, Dnepropetrovsk Oblast

Her husband was Gospel servant, and she was regent. What a wonderful duet in the ministry. Every time when her husband left home for a ministry in other places their farewell was like the last one. But, at the day when her husband crashed in car accident they had no farewell with words of love and encouragement. By that time they had a daughter. Having buried the husband she found out that she was pregnant. Their second daughter was born 8 month later. How to admit that is was God's will? According to her testimony God has given her courage and strength. And she has doubled her ministry for the Lord.

  Oksana Busko from Ternopol

Mother of three kids. Her husband died in car accident. He was a very devoted for the ministry person. It was very difficult for Oksana to accept the reality. She was so hopeless that wanted to suicide. God has stopped her and forgave her giving her a new gift, and today she is not only sings, but also wrights songs (words and music). She was named a filly widow.

Sister Svetlana Matsola from Kapathian villag

Being a widow with five children is a hard destiny. When Svetlana received an invitation to participate in the conference she was surprised that somebody knows about her. The children were happy that they are not forgotten. Step by step God led her family. Lord has provided food and clothes for the family. As a real support and strengthening were the words of trust in the Lord and testimonies of the aged nun widows, who always put their hope in God. (Widow Andronik from Belarus).

There were many prayers, lots of thanks to God and many new friend relations. Renewed and encouraged in His trust all sisters left home.
