Dear sisters,

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)

Isn't this an amazing promise in this strange and difficult time? We have experienced lots of difficulties yesterday and we have also experienced that Jesus has been with us and has even carried us.

Livija Lame

Remember the story: somebody has a dream, where there are two sets of footprints in sand, but at some points just one set. Person asks Jesus, why did you leave me alone, when it was the hardest? No, I didn't leave you, but I carried you, - was the answer.

Today there are so many hard things happening around us – tragedies, earthquakes, storms, and floods, where in one moment mud washes away thousands of houses and people, and leaves just bare life. Hearing about that and seeing these things in the mass media, our hearts and minds are filled with anguish. 'God, how should we go on? Have mercy and be present with your comfort and solutions!' So many lives are perishing in wars, new diseases are raging in Europe and we experience an economic crisis, is there still any security and hope for the future?

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! Dear ones, only He is our security and refuge!

Since the last issue of N&V summer has passed with all its events. Many of us met in Amsterdam. Thank you for your support both financially, as well as by your presence and prayers. It was an opportunity to meet, to get to know each other and to share. After our Amsterdam meeting there were other meetings in the Netherlands, in Ede – the BWA Annual Gathering and the BWA WD Executive Committee meeting. In the sisters' gathering we devoted lots of time for preparation of the Leadership Conference for next year. As you already know, the topic will be "In step with the Spirit". It will be an interesting and valuable event. Please keep this conference in your prayers and pray also for God's calling and appointing of a new president because, as you know, Dorothy Selebano will finish her presidency there.

This fall I've had the opportunity to participate in conferences in Scotland and Romania, and at the end of November the sisters in Lebanon are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their women's ministry.

Thank you for your hospitality, love, cooperation and support that I have abundantly received. May we grow in faith, trust and love in Jesus Christ, Who does not change and is always present with us. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!

Wishing you a blessed time of Advent and Christmas full of love!

Sincerely Yours, Livija Lame.
